This is a hard question to answer, as different people and ‘difficulties’ require
different amounts of time. In general, Dr Justin provides brief therapies which tend
to last between 8-20 sessions. However, some people need fewer sessions and some
people need more. Regardless of the number of sessions, there tends to be a beginning,
middle and end. The beginning is characterised by getting to better know you and
the difficulties that you are experiencing. The middle part of therapy tends to
be focussed on making change and learning new skills. The end of therapy is an opportunity
to reflect on the work, to plan for the future and to say goodbye.
